I have a master’s degree in social work from New York University and I’m licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of NJ. I have seven years of clinical experience treating adults in areas concerning anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, infertility, grief and loss and parenting.
Expect truth, compassion and flexibility during our sessions.
I prioritize creating a comfortable and safe space that fosters your healing and personal success. I bring soothing and sensible energy to individual and group sessions, adjusting to your needs and comfort level.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to create awareness of your thought patterns and how they influence your overall feelings and behaviors. By collaboratively identifying unhelpful or distorted thinking, we can work towards replacing them with more constructive thoughts and use them as a foundation for a healthier, grounded state of being.
On a personal side, my parents are from the Dominican Republic, so I love the beach, dancing, and family time, and I am fluent in Spanish. My culture allows me to recognize and break the cycle of generational trauma with you. I also have a five-year-old son and recently just had another baby boy. They are my greatest teachers, constantly teaching me patience and being mindful of my language towards them, and my words becoming their internal voice. I also love working out to the Max Challenge to help me release those happy endorphins!
